What I'm doing now: I finally "retired" from my long-time, (ultimately onerous) smoky club gigs/endless travel routine. I went out "gloriously" by spending most of 1995-6 on tour throughout Europe with a fantastic "modern-classical" rock group from Carcassonne, France, via Los Angeles, called 5uu's. We even did concerts in Zagreb, Croatia--full of UN soldiers and Serbs at the time--and the now troubled Belgrade and Skopje. (They're VERY nice people by the way.) These days: by day, I'm repairing computers and such for a large hospital in Portland, OR, -by night, I'm playing the gigs that I REALLY WANT TO DO...I've even managed to become accompanist and choir director for a Lutheran church in NE Portland, Holy Redeemer Lutheran. I continue to play and compose music: for the church (liturgy) and choir as well as my own ensemble called Pays du Cathare. My most recent recordings (this past year) were, Thinking Plague "In Extremis" and 5uu's "Crisis in Clay".

We met at Ananda's yoga & meditation retreat near Assisi, Italy (he's been a dedicated meditator for many years, while I started in 1998) and we're getting married in July 2004. Although I've been called upon to sing a lot (who knew?), as well as to establish and direct Ananda choirs, I still play a fair amount of flute, and have recorded several CDs of Ananda music. Be sure to send me an email if you're visiting the south of Switzerland (or north Italy, which is just across the border).

What I'm doing now: A lot of wonderful things have been happening for me since graduation. Since June I have started my own business teaching children the joy of music. I start them as early as newborn to 7 years of age and currently have over 40 students enrolled. I also teach at various preschools monthly. My newest project involves teaching a children's chorus for the Mill Valley School District. As far as performing goes, I have been singing with the Marin Master Chorale as the Soprano section leader and soloist for about a year now. In May we will be singing Carmina Burana at the San Rafael Civic Center. I will be doing the soprano solo in that work by Carl Orff. The newest and most exciting development is that in April I will be joining the San Francisco Opera in their full-time regular chorus. It is so amazing when we can make a living out of the things we love the most. Oh, lastly I breed Siamese cats and currently have 16 beautiful kittens running around my apartment. Isn't it GRAND!!
